Q:  I have a box of previously worn military uniforms. Are there ways to dispose of them other than to send them to your company?

A:  You can choose to dispose of them in the trash, give them to a thrift shop, or burn them.  However first you must take all insignia, tape, badges, ribbons, and patches off.

Quality Assurance

Q: I’ve ordered 3 Army products. The fabric pieces where it says US Army are different on all 3. Is that a mistake?

A: No, it’s a characteristic of unique products made from unique fatigues and sewn by professional seamstresses. Several types of branch name tapes are available, and we either match or coordinate them with the main fabric. Our products are not mass produced but made individually.

Q:  The item I received seems worn.

A: Our products are made from previously worn uniforms. While we try to avoid using badly damaged parts, there may be stains, tears or other signs of wear. That is one of the features that makes your item honoring soldiers unique. You’re welcome to return the item if you’re unhappy with it. Go to the Returns page to fill out your information. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Q:  I ordered 2 of the same item and they look different from one another. How do I get two that are the same?

A:  All of our products are unique. Even though all branches of the military use a similar style, there are structural differences. If you ordered 2 from the same branch, the differences could be from each product being cut individually; possibly by two different professional seamstresses. Uniform size also causes differences in dimensions and seaming. You’re welcome to return the items if you’re unhappy with them. Go to the Returns page to fill out your information. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Q:  Why are your prices so high?  I see the same type of products for less.

A:  Our prices may seem high but we keep them as low as possible for a small batch operation. The primary reason our prices may seem high is that the fatigues used have been worn in service to our country and not from manufactured camo fabric. The operational reason our pricing may seem higher is the amount of individual attention each product receives. We work with veterans to personally deconstruct each uniform into rough-cut fabric pieces, parts that can be repurposed, and parts we save for other products. Then each piece must be cut individually according to the pattern by hand; instead of being cut by the dozens with fabric cutting machines. Each product is sewn according to our spec sheets and trimmed manually. The branch name tape is sewn individually.

Product Availability

Q:  When will you have Items not shown on your web page available?

A:  Products offered depend on the availability of uniforms donated. For example, we have a large supply of Army ACU digital gray uniforms, followed by BDU woodland camouflage uniforms. We hope to see an increase in donations of uniforms in other fabrics and service branches. Please visit the Fatigue Donations page if you or someone you know can donate them. We always welcome donations of fatigues. No dress uniforms, please.

Q: Do you make custom products? I have a family member’s service uniforms and would like something made from them.

A:  Yes. We offer customized products. We have made customized bags using the veterans fatigues and adding their name tape.  Go to our Custom Orders to give us more details about your custom request and your contact information so we can talk with you about specifics.

Returns

Q:  What if I get my order and don’t like it. Can I return it?

A:  Yes, go to the Returns page to fill out your information. You’ll need to send it back to us and we’ll refund your purchase price. We want you to enjoy the products you choose. We allow 30 days for you to send it back to us and we'll refund your purchase price.
