ARMY

U.S. Army uniform designs have historically been influenced by British and French military traditions, as well as contemporary U.S. civilian fashion trends.

The primary battle uniforms of the modern U.S. Army have been the Army Combat Uniform (ACU). The ACU originally used a pixelated pattern of tan, gray and green and was intended to work in desert, woodland, and urban environments. The ACU pattern was retired in the fall of 2019 and the current combat uniform is made in the Operation Camouflage Pattern (OCP).
